From Dirt to Tarmac: Kyle Nye Shifts Gears from Motocross to Cycling with TEAMBSR

For most athletes, transitioning from one sport to another is no easy feat. But for Kyle Nye, trading in his motocross bike for a road bicycle wasn’t just a change of sport — it was a shift in lifestyle, discipline, and purpose.

Kyle, who grew up racing in the fast-paced world of motocross, brings a unique edge to the cycling scene. “Motocross taught me how to handle speed, read terrain, and push my limits,” Nye says. “But cycling challenged me in a whole new way — mentally and physically.”

Now part of TEAMBSR’s Next Gen program, Kyle is taking that same fearless attitude to the velodrome and open roads, representing a new wave of young talent committed not just to performance, but to purpose. TEAMBSR’s mission to promote mental health through sport aligns with Kyle’s story — one of reinvention, resilience, and rediscovery.

“I found peace on the bike,” Kyle reflects. “The adrenaline is still there, but it’s more about endurance, strategy, and the team around you.”

As he gears up for his first full season with TEAMBSR, Kyle is not only chasing results — he’s helping redefine what it means to be an athlete with a story.
