Neaves, James, and Frederick Shine at L’Avenir Cup in T-Town

Trexlertown, PA – The storied Valley Preferred Cycling Center hosted another electric evening of racing this past Friday night as riders battled for glory in the L’Avenir Cup. The competition brought fast-paced racing, fierce tactics, and thrilling finishes that highlighted both elite and junior talent.

Neaves Dominates Men’s Field

Trinidad & Tobago’s Jadian Neaves put on a masterclass performance, claiming victories in both the Men’s Points Race and the Men’s Scratch Race. With consistency across the program, Neaves went on to secure the overall omnium title, cementing himself as the night’s standout in the men’s ranks. His tactical awareness and explosive finishing power made him nearly untouchable on the boards.

Junior Riders Step Up

The junior fields delivered just as much excitement, with Elijah James and Josh Frederick trading podiums across multiple events.

  • James showed his versatility, claiming 3rd in the Junior Men’s American Tempo before storming to victory in the Junior Men’s Wheel Race.

  • Frederick finished close behind in that same Wheel Race, earning 2nd place, while also collecting 3rd in the Junior Men’s Points Race.

The balance of results proved decisive in the overall standings: James captured the overall L’Avenir Cup title, while Frederick’s consistency landed him 3rd overall.

A Night of Rising Stars

For both the elite men’s and junior categories, the L’Avenir Cup served as a showcase of tactical racing and raw talent. Neaves’ dominance in the elite omnium, paired with James’ breakout overall victory in the juniors, highlighted the depth of competition and the bright future of cycling talent emerging at T-Town.

As the lights dimmed over the velodrome, it was clear that this year’s L’Avenir Cup added another chapter to the legendary Friday Night racing tradition, one filled with speed, strategy, and the promise of tomorrow’s champions.
