Getting Kids on Bikes and Building Lifelong Riders
Upper Perkiomen Valley, PA – TEAMBSR continues to make strides in its mission to grow cycling in the community by focusing on the next generation of riders. Through youth programs, community rides, and hands-on mentorship, the organization is not only introducing kids to the sport of cycling but also helping them build confidence, resilience, and a love for riding that can last a lifetime.
This initiative has received an important boost from USA Cycling, whose Community Engagement Grant directly supports TEAMBSR’s outreach efforts. The grant allows the team to expand access, provide resources, and host events that make cycling approachable for kids of all backgrounds.
"Cycling isn’t just about racing, it’s about building skills, friendships, and opportunities," said TEAMBSR leadership. "Thanks to USA Cycling, we’re able to grow the sport right here in our community and help kids discover how powerful riding a bike can be."
TEAMBSR’s impact stretches far beyond the track, with its programs emphasizing healthy lifestyles, community engagement, and pathways for young athletes to reach the highest levels of competition. By connecting local riders to a supportive cycling culture, TEAMBSR is setting the foundation for both personal growth and athletic success.
With continued support, the organization aims to strengthen its reputation as not only a competitive cycling team but also a driving force for positive change in the Upper Perkiomen Valley and beyond.
