BSR MUSTANGS OPEN INTERNATIONAL PATHWAYS, BRINGING UZBEK RIDERS TO LEHIGH VALLEY
The BSR Mustangs Cycling P\program is proud to announce a bold step forward in its global development mission: expanding international pathways by engaging riders from Uzbekistan and connecting them to one of the most established cycling ecosystems in the world, the Lehigh Valley.
At the center of this opportunity is the Valley Preferred Cycling Center (T-Town), a venue internationally recognized for producing Olympic athletes, world champions, and national titleholders. For BSR Mustangs, the Lehigh Valley represents far more than a training base,it is a living development pipeline, where community engagement, elite performance, and athlete support coexist.
This expansion reflects the core mission of BSR Mustangs and its nonprofit foundation, Bike & Sol:
to create access, remove barriers, and provide meaningful opportunities for riders, regardless of where they come from, using cycling as a tool for growth, mental health, and long-term success.
“This isn’t about recruiting for results alone,” said Ethan Hendricks, Chief Executive Officer of the BSR Mustangs. “It’s about identifying motivated athletes and placing them into an environment where opportunity, structure, and community already exist. The Lehigh Valley is one of the few places in the world where that ecosystem is fully built.”
Uzbekistan represents a growing but underrepresented region in international cycling, home to driven athletes with limited access to elite-level infrastructure and global competition. Through BSR Mustangs, riders from the region gain exposure to high-performance coaching, competitive racing, mentorship, and a values-based team culture rooted in accountability, mental well-being, and personal development.
This initiative is closely aligned with Bike & Sol, which focuses on cycling access, education, and outreach at the grassroots level. Together, BSR Mustangs and Bike & Sol form a seamless pipeline, supporting riders from first exposure to the sport all the way to elite and international competition—anchored in the Lehigh Valley and extending outward across the globe.
BSR Mustangs athletes have competed and earned podiums across North America, Europe, and the Caribbean, while maintaining a strong commitment to community events, mental health awareness, and inclusive programming. The integration of riders from Central Asia reinforces the team’s identity as a globally minded program with deep local roots.
As BSR continues to grow, international expansion will remain intentional and mission-driven—leveraging the Lehigh Valley’s unmatched cycling infrastructure to provide real opportunity, not just exposure, for athletes who may not otherwise have access to the world stage.
Further updates will be shared as partnerships are finalized and riders officially join the BSR Mustangs family.
