The Non-Voting Chief of Athlete Advisory serves as a crucial liaison between the athletes and the Board of Directors of TEAMBSR. This role ensures that the voices, concerns, and perspectives of the riders are represented at the leadership level, fostering a culture of athlete-first decision-making.
*Must be 18+
Key Responsibilities:
Act as the primary advocate for athlete needs, welfare, and development within TEAMBSR.
Provide insight on team policies, training structures, race schedules, and overall athlete experience.
Collaborate with the Board to enhance athlete support systems, including mental health resources, career development, and sponsorship opportunities.
Facilitate open communication between athletes and management to maintain a strong, transparent team culture.
Assist in shaping long-term strategic goals that align with the team’s mission of performance, inclusivity, and mental health advocacy.
Attend board meetings as a non-voting member, offering advisory input on decisions affecting the athletes.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
A current or former competitive cyclist with experience in professional or elite-level racing.
Strong understanding of athlete needs, both on and off the bike.
Passionate about athlete advocacy, mental health, and team culture.
Effective communicator with the ability to bridge the gap between riders and team leadership.
