Neaves Set to Represent Trinidad & Tobago at U23 Pan American Championships

Trinidad and Tobago – July 23, 2025 — National under-23 cycling standout Jadian Neaves is preparing to take on the continent’s best as he gears up for the 2025 U23 Pan American Championships.

The 20-year-old has enjoyed a breakout season, securing multiple national titles and earning his place on the national team following a string of strong performances on both the road and track. Neaves will compete in a selection of endurance-based events, including the individual time trial and mass-start road race.

Neaves burst onto the national scene earlier this year by capturing gold in both the U23 time trial and U23 road race at the Trinidad & Tobago National Championships. His dominant showing solidified his status as one of the country’s most promising young riders and earned him a coveted spot on the Pan American roster.

“I’ve been putting in a lot of work behind the scenes, and to wear the national colors at a continental championship means a lot,” said Neaves. “This is a big step forward, and I’m ready to test myself against some of the strongest U23 riders in the Americas.”

Beyond his road success, Neaves has also made waves on the track. At the 2025 Elite Track National Championships, he claimed silver in the U23 individual pursuit with a time of 4:42.41 and added gold in the U23 scratch race to his growing list of accomplishments.

His versatility has not gone unnoticed. The Trinidad and Tobago Cycling Federation praised Neaves for his consistency, work ethic, and rapid progression in recent seasons.

The U23 Pan American Championships will feature top athletes from across North, Central, and South America. The competition serves as a key stepping stone toward elite international racing, offering young riders valuable experience and exposure.

With final preparations underway, Neaves has spent recent weeks fine-tuning his form with focused time trial efforts and endurance blocks tailored for the demands of Pan Am competition. He’ll travel with the national team later this month and is expected to compete in both individual and team-based events.

Neaves is no stranger to the Pan American stage. In 2023, he claimed bronze in the points race at the Junior Pan Am Track Championships—an early sign of the potential now coming to full fruition.

“I know the level will be high,” Neaves added, “but I’m motivated and ready to give it everything.”

The U23 Pan American Championships are scheduled to take place in early August, with final event schedules and start lists expected to be released in the coming days.
